The other day a white customer was mimicking the way a black co-worker talked over the phone to another co-worker, and when he asked her to stop she said “oh I bet your black too” and he’s like nah I’m white, you’re just being awful and I’m hanging up

It’s that easy

When people think empathy w/o personal association or investment is strange, it’s because they have none.

Seriously how has it become such a foreign concept nowadays to empathize with others even if you aren’t the one being affected by it?

Since this is getting notes, here’s a link to their site.

There’re multiple sword keys.

There are swordkeys but is there a KeyBLADE?

not to #resist fun but an app like snapchat which digitally “enhances” the photos you take of yourself inevitably leads to greater dissatisfaction w your actual face in the same way that photoshopped images in media increase body dissatisfaction, but actually worse than that bc it’s an unrealistically enhanced version of you and therefore harder to dismiss or ignore

A lot of plastic surgeons are saying that more and more people are walking in with Snapchat filter photos of themselves as reference to how they want to look. We really need to be aware of how much harm these filters do to our self image.

thank you for this post. i can’t believe a lot of people think this way which made me feel so much better

just the other day I was looking at myself on a snap filter and I thought “wow I look pretty” then I removed it and thought “huh what changed?” so I checked back and forth and realized snap filters contour my face to be smaller which honestly made me want to RF my face (for it to be smaller)

so upon reading this and knowing tons of people have experienced what I went through- made me feel that I’m not alone and that what I see is an unrealistic version of me, therefore I shouldn’t feel bad that I don’t look like “it”

thank you so much for this post. forever reblog.
